As we look forward to the next ten years, we would like to significantly increase our impact as a charity. More impact = more people overcoming the hurdles that prevent them reaching their full potential. It will mean more children thriving in school, fewer people suffering from illness, and it more people being able to generate income so they can support their families. Part of our plan to make this increased impact possible is to grow our income in the UK from c. £50K to £100K each year.
To make this growth possible, and then manageable, we have decided to employ our first ever member of staff in the UK. Our development manager will enable us to take a little bit of HOPE to the next level, ensure our sustainability for the long-term, and most importantly significantly increase our impact. Initially, this will be a one-day-a-week role.

We are grateful that we have been able to allocate funds to this role so there shouldn’t be any need for us to decrease the amount of funding we spend on projects in Uganda – in fact, we hope that next year we’ll be able increase it. And continue to do so year-on-year, because of the increased capacity we have in the UK.
